Dr. MARIAM KORONFEL
“Healthcare should leave you with more than a treatment plan. It should give you the knowledge and confidence to take care of your health for years to come.”
About Me
I’m a GP with a special interest in women’s health, nutrition, preventative care and restorative medicine. Alongside my work in general practice, I have undertaken additional training in menopause care and contraception, as well as procedural treatments including PRP therapy and joint injections.
One of the things I value most about being a GP is the opportunity to care for people through different stages of life. But I have often felt that a traditional ten-minute consultation leaves little time to really explore the bigger picture, answer the questions that matter, or help someone understand their health beyond a diagnosis or prescription.
I have always loved learning, and much of my work outside the consulting room is spent reading, attending courses and learning from experts across women’s health, nutrition, lifestyle medicine and restorative therapies. With so much health information available, it can be difficult to know what is credible, what is relevant, and what actually applies to you.
I see an important part of my role as bringing that information together, grounding it in the best available evidence and clinical experience, and translating it into clear, practical and personalised advice.
MY VISION
I believe good healthcare should leave you with more than a prescription or treatment plan. It should help you understand your body, feel confident in the decisions you make about your health, and give you practical tools that continue to serve you long after the consultation has ended.
My approach to medicine is also shaped by a belief that our health is something worth caring for and investing in. Not in pursuit of perfection, but so that we can feel well, remain active, care for the people who matter to us, and live our lives with greater strength and purpose.
Whether we are discussing women’s health, nutrition, preventative care or restorative treatments, my approach remains the same: thoughtful, evidence-based and individualised care that considers you as a whole person, not simply a diagnosis.
Above all, I want every woman who sees me to feel genuinely heard and comfortable discussing what matters to her. My hope is that you leave with a clear plan, a better understanding of your health, and greater confidence in looking after it for the years ahead.
